Baltivist

A Baltivist (Baltic-activist) is someone who cares about protecting our beloved Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Baltivist.com is the online home of the Baltivist community.

We know that sometimes, it feels like everyone is shouting at us in the name of politics. From online chatrooms where people are belittled, to people begging us to take some sort of political action like calling Congress or joining a protest. Even though it’s all exhausting, it can feel like your actions don’t even make a difference in the end.

Baltivist.com is different.

Baltivist.com is born from the expertise of DC advocacy professionals. There are people out there (ok, I’ll name them – lobbyists) whose jobs are to make their interests heard by politicians.

We know that “lobbying” can feel like a dirty word, but here’s our thought: Lobbying is given a bad name because it tends to only be practiced by moneyed interests.

Wouldn’t it be nice if lobbying was also practiced by us? The people?

What if lobbying was democratized?

That’s what Baltivist.com is – democratized lobbying for Baltic-Americans.

The bonus – you don’t even have to understand politics to get involved. That’s what the website, the organizers, and the community is for.

Now, we tried to make all of this as inexpensive as possible. Professional lobbyists pay tens of thousands of dollars for any of the following:

  • Bill tracking services
  • Consultants to host advocacy days
  • Professional websites

We provide all these services, plus we offer:

  • A Congressional power map
  • A breakdown of the issues
  • A special social media network only for Baltivists that will NEVER sell or distribute your private information to third parties (unlike nearly every social media company)

We worked hard to make all these resources consumable and to make them affordable, bringing the membership cost to only $25 a year. As our membership grows, all the resources we can provide to you grow too.

We sincerely hope you join this community. Thank you for your work protecting the Baltics!
